'Batman: Arkham Knight' trailer - New Faces in it

Batman: Arkham Knight's cast of familiar faces grows with developer Rocksteady Studios' new "All Who Follow You" trailer. Can you name them all?

Catwoman's there, putting the beatdown on an army of robo-baddies with her Batbuddy. Nightwing and Robin both show up as well, all grim faces and determined hero poses. There are also blink-and-you'll-miss-it looks at Commissioner Jim Gordon, his daughter Barbara (aka Oracle), and the vigilante Azrael.

The trailer's title suggests that Batman's assorted allies are all targets of the Arkham Knight, the game's primary villain. He pops up a few times here (his cape-less armor is a weaponized mockery of the Caped Crusader's own Batsuit), duking it out with Batman and commanding any army of gun-toting soldiers, tanks and drones. Two-Face and Scarecrow (that's him at the 50-second mark, right?) also make brief appearances.
We'll see how all of these characters fit into Rocksteady's final Gotham City adventure when Batman: Arkham Knight comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 23.

Call of Duty : Black Ops 3 Here's your first look at the new face of war

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is a dark, gritty future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the cutting-edge military robotics that define the future of combat. Mechs. Transforming chaingun hands. Some kind of lethal firefly swarm. These are your new tools of destruction in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Activision's debut trailer for 2015's new entry in the series, from developer Treyarch, is packed with surprising looks at the game's vision of future warfare. The tone was set last week when the publisher released a futurist-friendly teaser made up of mock newsreels that laid out the key historical moments leading into 2065.

Here's the short version: The world has fractured around the rise of "modified humans," with superhuman wars waged between armies that are seemingly pulled from the pages of dystopian science fiction. In the new game's story, tensions rise all around the world when an Edward Snowden-like figure reveals the reality of off-the-books "black ops" missions.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 6.See you on November 6, the new Black Friday.Pre-order now and get access to the Multiplayer Beta. Learn more at:http://www.callofduty.com/beta

The next entry in Universal's blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise has been scheduled for April 14, 2017. The news was revealed during the studio's CinemaCon presentation, following an emotional speech by Vin Diesel.
"We're going to make the best movie you've ever seen," the actor said when announcing the release date.
Diesel, star of the franchise, came to the stage to talk about the most recent hit. He got emotional when speaking about his friend Paul Walker, who died before Furious 7 was completed.
"The last time I was on this stage I was with my brother Pablo,” he said. “It’s hard for me to even watch that clip and then come out here without being emotional."
The seventh entry in the franchise has already broken box office records worldwide, so far nabbing more than $1.1 billion globally.
"Furious 8" Location Revealed?
One series insider has moved past speculation over the next movie and has provided his thoughts on where the unconfirmed film may be shot. Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson told MTV, per The Morning Call, in a recent interview that he believes the movie will be set in New York City.
The site also noted that Vin Diesel disclosed while on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that "Furious 7" was actually the beginning of a trilogy that would feature government agent Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell).
"I always think of these films, multiple pictures, in advance. I think of them as trilogies," teased the actor regarding a potential eighth film. "Kurt Russell came in for [Furious 7] but we really hired him because of a story that follows this, that takes place in New York."

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

A first look at DC's huge superhero film is finally here. It should be no surprise that director Zack Snyder's style for the film is simultaneously murky and full of crisp color — it's really quite comic booky , in a way as based on batman vs superman comic. This is certainly a cool and moody first look, but it doesn't necessarily instill the level of confidence that you'd want from a movie this large. Still, it has plenty of time to get there: it doesn't come out until March 25th of next year.

Avengers: Marvels Age of Ultron review

marvels age of ultron review

The Avengers was the film that made me fall in love with Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. It was the scene when Agent Coulson died, and our comic book heroes turned on each other — backbiting, blaming, lashing out as their center collapsed. After five and a half movies’ worth of comic book acrobatics and space villains, we were suddenly watching just a handful of scared people in a room, acting all too human.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Movie Review

Avengers: Age of Ultron, follow-up to 2012's Avengers, springs no surprises.

It is mindful of the reality of the sacrosanct formula,
and it does not scrimp on delivering exactly what is expected of it.

Age of Ultron is an overload of eye-popping action sequences featuring an all-star team of superheroes, plus a couple of new entrants with unique powers. Given that we were dealing with larger-than-life characters like Thor and Captain America, it was nothing short of a miracle. But that one scene elevated an entire franchise, and $1.5 billion later, Joss Whedon had cemented the Marvel empire as a blockbuster factory.
Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Chris Evans as Captain America. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

**Warning: very mild plot age of ultron spoilers ahead**

THE OPENING SEQUENCE IS AN INCREDIBLE PIECE OF ACTION FILMMAKING
But between Ultron's lame jokes and general lack of motivation, he never manages to become a villain you can take seriously. It's a depressingly bland dynamic compared to the fun Tom Hiddleston had as Loki in the first film, but thankfully Ultron has some backup in the form of a pair of twins (Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen) who have some special powers of their own.

What’s shocking is how so many things that were strengths in the first film fall flat here. Whedon hits his chatty stride early on as the team hangs out and ribs each other during a party, and it’s filled with some signature character bits. But given the events of the last few films in the series, the lightheartedness feels strangely out of place.

There can be no denying that Avengers: Age of Ultron is expertly mounted and spiced up with a dash of humour.

But the quality of the ride, in its totality, is uneven. Watch it for the spectacle, not the substance.

Tom Cruise Was Scared Over Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation Plane Stunt

Tom Cruise hung off the side of an airplane a death-defying eight times for the most memorable stunt in the upcoming “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,” the actor revealed to theater owners at CinemaCon.
The sequence required the star to an Airbus A400M as it soared 5,000 feet in the air, something that necessitated wearing special contact lenses so he could keep his eyes open despite the wind pressure.
“I’ve always wanted to do that,” Cruise quipped, as he presented behind-the-scenes footage of his air flight, adding, ” I want to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.”
In past “Mission: Impossible” films that’s resulted in Cruise scaling mountain peaks or hanging along the exterior of the Burj Khalifa. But this may have been his most dangerous mission yet. Cruise admitted that the crew did their best to make certain that there were no birds that could collide with the actor or jet fuel fumes to contend with, but at a certain point…it was up to the fates.
“I’m actually scared sh–less,” Cruise said.

The behind-the-scenes look at the signature stunt was part of Paramount’s presentation of its upcoming slate of films. The studio also screened two nearly finished scenes from the film, one that showed a shirtless Cruise drugged and hanging from a lead pipe as he’s beaten by a muscled bad guy called the bone doctor.

Angry Birds Go Rolls Into Google Play

Long lost fans of Mario Kart, a potential new addiction has arrived on Android in the form of Angry Birds GO! Oh, and that exclamation isn’t because I’m overly excited, that’s simply how Rovio is spelling the game’s name. But yes, the kart-style racer from Rovio is here and available for free.

Angry Birds Go is Rovio's first major free-to-play game on Android, so expect to be hit up for cash on occasion . This is a casual racing game built around a variety of quirky downhill tracks. The birds we know so well from the original games are here with hastily assembled vehicles and special powers that harken back to their physics puzzler roots.
1 2 3
The graphics in Angry Birds Go seem solid from a quick inspection. It has a sort of 3D cel shaded thing going on. However, there is a legacy menu button... I don't even know what to say about that. There also seems to be no sign of Google Play Games, but there is Facebook and Twitter support.
4 5
In addition to upgrading your regular carts in the game, there are Telepods to collect. You're probably familiar with the concept – they are physical toy figurines that you can beam into the game by scanning a tag with the camera. I suppose it's an out-of-app purchase. Anyway, the game is free to try right now.

Once you start playing ABG, you will probably find the gameplay quite enjoyable. It’s easy to get the hang of, does indeed reminder you in a way of Mario Kart, and features enough different styles of play that you shouldn’t get bored any time soon. There are ways to build up your kart to make it faster and more powerful, power-ups to give you an advantage, and different birds to unlock throughout your journey.
The problem is, that in order to advance you better be ready to spend all sorts of cash or have loads of patience. The game is constantly asking you to spend money, whether that be on a $50 kart (seriously, that exists) or on gems to give your “tired” bird more energy to race. That’s right, after 5 races, your bird is too tired to race, so you either wait the 20 minutes for him to rest or you spend cash to make that happen quicker.
I’ve been playing the game for a solid hour this morning and overall, don’t find it to be all that bad of a game. It is actually pretty fun once you get to racing and unlocking new birds. It’s just that I’d much rather spend $5 up front to unlock the game fully than deal with greedy in-app purchase tactics and ads. I get that this is the model for gaming these days, but man, it takes a lot of fun out of it.

Bungie's Destiny ships worldwide on September 9th, 2014

Wondering when you can get Bungie's first big post-Halo project, Destiny?

No More Wonders Anymore: The company has revealed that its ambitious, MMO-like shooter will ship worldwide on September 9th, 2014. PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 users will get first crack at the beta test sometime earlier in the summer, although Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners should eventually have their turn.

That's a long time to wait, especially if you're using a new console that doesn't have many titles to start with, but Bungie's track record suggests that patience will be a virtue.

The Company Says :-
Destiny has always represented a new beginning for our team. It was born from brave possibilities. We dreamed of a renewed and independent Bungie. We found partners willing to bet big on some crazy new ideas with us.

We first shared the design pillars of Destiny less than one year ago. We promised to redefine what players should expect from a Bungie game. We said we wanted to change the way people play games together. We set our bar high. For us, Destiny represents a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Since then, Destiny has continued to reveal its promise. Every new build brings us closer to our original vision. With those goals in sight, we intend to use every moment from now until the release of the game to ensure that Destiny lives up to your expectations, and our own.

Today, in partnership with Activision, we are proud to announce that the worldwide launch of Destiny will happen on September 9th. Accordingly, the Destiny Beta will kick off in the summer of 2014, available first on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

Google celebrates Halloween with hocus-pocus witch doodle

Halloween, which is celebrated on October 31 ever year, Google has already updated its Australian homepage with its Halloween special doodle.

The Halloween doodle features an aged witch going through a huge manuscript that includes information related to witchcraft.

After clicking on the play button of the doodle, the witch starts with her practise and gives the viewer an unique opportunity to participate with her in the proceedings. With a spooky sound in the background to add to the effect, the procedure has four different items to chose from-- a bone, bottle, skull and an apple-- out of which the witch lets you chose two items to perform her witchery.

To know what happens next, check out the google doodle here.

History of Halloween:

Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. The word Halloween is a shortening of All Hallows' Evening also known as Hallowe'en or All Hallows' Eve.
Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain (pronounced "sah-win").

It is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture. Samhain was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and prepare for winter. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops.

'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' Trailer Unites a Trio of Heroes

The most patriotic comic book hero needs help fending off evil in Marvel's upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie, and as the new trailer shows, Captain America and ally Black Widow find that assistance in the wing-wielding Falcon.
Captain America, played by Chris Evans, is trying to defend the nation's capital alongside Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson). The action-packed trailer sets the captain out to "neutralize a lot of threats before they even happen," according to Samuel L. Jackson's character, Nick Fury, the head director of international intelligence agency S.H.I.E.L.D.
Falcon, portrayed by Anthony Mackie, soars in to help battle the villains, including the sequel's namesake, Winter Soldier. The big bad guy is a brainwashed assassin — and Captain America's former best friend — played by Sebastian Stan. Robert Redford will debut in the film franchise as new S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Alexander Pierce.
The film is a sequel to 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, which told the story of how ordinary Steve Rodgers morphed into Captain America. After a 60-year slumber, the World War II hero returned to protect the modern world.
Winter Soldier will arrive in theaters in the UK on March 26 and in the United States on April 4.
